Heaters Hotplates
VWR® Signature hotplates are designed for applications that require exceptional accuracy, stability and repeatability.

  • Separate LED displays for temperature and time
  • Includes external temperature probe and support rod kit

  • Ceramic or aluminium top plates with hot warning

Microprocessor control regulates heating function. It also includes an external probe option that gives ±1% temperature stability. A spill resistant housing channels fluids away from internal components.

Safety features include user defined plate temperature limits, ensuring unit will never exceed users programmed limit, enabling control of sensitive flash points. Probe and over temperature protection ensure that if probe disengages from sample, the motor stops, or if the unit exceeds set temperature by 10 °C the heater will automatically shut off. Hot symbol warning light is illuminated when the unit is heated above 40 °C and remains on until the unit cools below 40 °C, even when the heater is turned off.

In timed mode an audible alarm will sound when the time reaches zero or when the unit reaches the set point temperature. Ceramic tops feature a chemically resistant, reflective white surface that's easy to clean. Durable aluminum tops provide a more even heating surface and will not crack or chip.

Below 100 °C ±1 °C environmental and sample conditions permitting.
